The Yorkshire County Club certainly seems to be on a shopping spree. In some breaking news coming in, they have expressed their wish to sign AB de Villiers for the 2019 edition of the Natwest T20 Blast. Superman has still not confirmed the same though and it could go either way for Yorkshire as far as his availability is concerned.
Yorkshire’s director of cricket, Martyn Moxon in a recent interaction with the media quoted, “We’d certainly be interested in signing him,”. Having said that, it is still not clear if the former right-handed batsman from South Africa would be available or not.
Having said that, he is also aware that once AB de Villiers gives a nod to play in the Natwest, there is going to be some serious competition for the Southpaw and it’s not going to be easy to grab his services.
Moxon added that for an overseas player it’s not always about how many runs of wickets he takes but also the value he adds and De Villiers ticks all those boxes at-least 10 times. Well, Cric Crak hopes that AB de Villiers indeed does apply his trade during the Natwest T20 Blast in 2019 as he is always a pleasure to watch and we will leave it to that.
