Cheteswara Pujara has been the danger man for Australian Cricket Team. His consistency has been the key to India taking the series all the way to 2-1. Today after KL Rahul’s quick leave, Pujara was again the one to anchor the innings. Even Virat couldn’t stand for long. Pujara has always been consistent in Australia in test cricket. He has now faced 1000 balls in test cricket and fans do consider him the best successor of the great Rahul Dravid.
As his innings started building, Aussie bowlers started getting frustrated but Puara had held his willow high up and batted till time with consistency. He and Mayank Agarwal has got the likes of fans after Vijay and Rahul’s omission from the squad. Pujara scoring yet another ton stirred the fans more and they started congratulated him.
Pujara has scored 123 in his first test in Adelaide and then another 100 in his next in the complicated Perth pitch. This is his 3rd ton in this series. After Mayank Agarwal’s 77, the ground was made for Kohli and Pujara banter but Kohli played a shot to get out leaving Pujara up with Rahane. He went past Sunil Gavaskar 1033 for balls faced in a single series in Australia. This made even Aussie star spinner Nathan Lyon to ask the batsman ” Aren’t you bored?”. We definitely don’t think he is and neither are we bored of his classy batting.
We think this performance is needed throughout if India wishes to win the fourth test and make history. Pujara has emerged to be the backbone of the team.

Cheteshwar Pujara has now faced 1000* balls ie 166.4 overs this series!
The only other occasion he has batted over 1000+ balls in a series – also against Australia at home in Feb-Mar 2017 – then faced 1049 balls in 4 Tests!#AusvInd#AusvsInd

The RESPECT you get as a cricketer for what @cheteshwar1 is doing in TEST CRICKET, is GREATER than any wonderfully skilful T20 innings.
Youngsters – look, learn & listen!
