Ishant Sharma has got Alaistar Cook’s wicket 11 times in his career and everyone feels the left-hander is uncomfortable facing the fast-bowler.
In a recent Interview before the start of the 2nd days play at the Oval, Sharma dismissed all such rumours but not in the most humble way possible, Maybe he did not mean it but it certainly seemed that way. Ishant expressed that if one closely observes his bowling pattern, he has always troubled most of the left-handers and not only Cook.
The right arm fast bowler from India further added that he feels really bad for the former English Captain when everyone addresses him as his ‘Bunny’. He also heaped praise on Mohammad Shami and credited his spell on day 1 which build pressure on the Poms which in return helped both Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah to pick up wickets.
Meanwhile, India is trailing the 5 match series 3-1 but Virat Kohli and his men look determined to not go down without a fight. On the other hand, this also happens to be Alastair Cook’s last test match and the Poms would be looking to give their former captain a perfect farewell by trying to win this one.
