The West Indies are all set to play a 2 Test Series against India which begins in Rajkot on the 4th of October. To be fair, nobody has any kind of expectations from the Windies to topple a strong Indian side at home but their captain Jason Holder believes they can.
Just for the record, West Indies last won a Test Match on Indian Soil back in the days in 1994, but there is one man Holder feels could hold it together for the visitors. In a recent Interview, Jason Holder stated that he is really expecting a lot from his senior pro-Devendra Bishoo considering the conditions would favour him considerably.
He termed Bishoo as a match winner and also the won his team would be relying on. Having said that, the experienced spinner will be the first one to admit that it’s not going to be easy for him, especially after what happened in 2011. Back in the days, he averaged 62.28 in a three test match series and Bishoo would certainly be hoping to improve on that record.
It would be interesting to see if the Guyana born bowler could play fire with fire against a strong Indian batting lineup in their own backyard. What do you think? Do you think Bishoo can make a difference or do you think the Indian batting lineup will take him down left, right, and centre. Do let us know your opinion in the comments section below.
