Rashid Khan Discloses The Exact Reason Why He Did Not Travel Back Home After His Fathers Death!

Rashid Khan has been the new era spin sensation. He has not only won the likes of Afghanistan Cricket Team but also from cricket fans all over the world. Thanks to his awesome bowling skills and also his positive attitude towards his game and his fans. But things have got him more praiseworthy after he decided to play even after his fathers demise.

Rashid has been playing in Big Bash League for AdelaieStrikers. It was during New Yera Eve that the news came of his father passing away. But as many cricketers have done in past, Rashid took a stand to continue playing his natural game with Adelaide Strikers. He convened that might be this is what even his father would love him to do. He played well picking up two wickets in the match but indeed looked depressed. Rasid said that he wanted to play well to give a deserving farewell to his father.

Seeing this act from the spinner, his teammates and fans in Australia and even the crowd started supporting him and cheering for him. Getting so much Rashid got emotional and declared Australian crowdlike his family.  He also revealed that his extended family has all urged him to play the entire competition. That’s overwhelming indeed.

Rashid said that his father was way close to him and watched all his matches though he never understood cricket much. He has been a huge support for him and his family. He also revealed how devastated he was on his demise yet he had pulled up his emotional quotient.

“It happens. It’s life. “In this situati, n, my family has really supported me … Especially my mum, my brothers, my nephews. They were encouraging me a lot from back home. They were calling me again and again. They were like, ‘you have to be there, you have to play for us, you have to play for your Dad. We can see you’re sad, you’re alone there, you’re (a long way) from home’. That’s how their motivation helped to stay here and play for the Strikers,” he said.

He also said the way his coach, players and management have supported him is beyond words. They hugged him and stayed up with him ate during New Year’s Eve and that is what made him stronger. Well, more power to you Rashid Khan.
