In some breaking news coming in, star England Player Alastair Cook has announced his retirement from International Cricket. Yes, you read that right.
The former English Captain stated that the game against India at the Oval will be his last Test Match post which he will call it a day. The left-handed batsman will retire as the highest run-scorer for England in the longest format and also the most capped England test player ever.
Cook hasn’t been in his prime since the last few years and has failed to score even a single half-century during the ongoing Test Series against India. Having said that, he will always be remembered as one of the greats to have played the game. He also captained the poms 59 times which is a record and that certainly speaks volumes of his abilities.
The 33-year old who was struggling for form since a while was happy with what he has achieved in his cricketing career till now. He also thanked his family for always believing in him and making his dream come true. Cric Crak wishes more ‘Power’ to Alistar Cook. They don’t make men like him anymore!
