Virender Sehwag Makes Fun Of The Pakistan Team After Their Asia Cup Exit

The cricketer turned commentator Virender Sehwag was all praises for the Bangladesh Cricket Team as they toppled Pakistan in the all-important knock-out game.

As a result, we have a repeat of what happened in 2016 as India and Bangladesh have set a date with each other in the final for the second time in a row. Many tipped Pakistan as the favorites to win the tournament before the Asia Cup 2018 had started but the ‘Men In Green’ hardly lived up to their reputation of being an unstoppable force in the UAE.

Even after knowing the conditions so well, they failed to win the crunch moments of the game and no- one really stood up for them at any given juncture. Probably the only positive they could take back is the contribution of Shoaib Malik who was absolutely outstanding, to say the least.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, suffered an early loss in the tournament as the Giant Killers, Afghanistan, got the better of them before a professional Indian Team dominated them like they usually do in One Day International Cricket. Finally, it all came down to the last game of the Asia Cup 2018 between Pakistan and Bangladesh and the Bangla Tigers managed to hold their nerves in the crucial encounter.

Sehwag lauded the 5 M’s of the Bangladesh Cricket Team, – Ms: Mithun, Mustafizur, Mahmudullah, Mehidy Hasan and of course Mushfiqur Rahman. The 5 of them have been instrumental towards the success of Bangladesh in the ongoing Asia Cup and the Nawab Of Najafgarh certainly did not forget to acknowledge the same. He took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to applaud Bangladesh for their efforts and while doing so, also took an indirect dig at Pakistan. Sehwag reminded everyone that no one is really an underdog and while everyone expected an India vs Pakistan final, Bangladesh was superb on the day. Here is what the former right-handed batsman from India tweeted.
